School Nurse Superpower Nominees

Nancy has gone above and beyond to engage students in health and wellness activities. In April 2026, Nancy organized a Wellness Week at the Frederick Douglass Collegiate Academy. She offered activities such as yoga, gardening, development of a cookbook, and community building with families. Nancy is also taking a lead in a Healthy Environment grant with the Lynn Public Health Department which involves participation and decision making by students to complete a school improvement activity. Lastly, Nancy has pushed for a garden center on school grounds and recently got permission to move forward with this project.
