EHR training is key in any clinical setting. But everyone learns differently which is why PSNI offers multiple training paths.

Instructor-Led Training

PSNI has been a nurse-driven company since 1992. Our staff of RNs and training experts not only designs all of our training to meet customer needs, they deliver the training. Using combination of lecture, examples, and hands-on activities, your staff will quickly grasp and utlize the full SNAP feature set.

Self-Paced Video Learning

Learn on your own schedule, at your own pace, and in your own place. Each video is formulated by industry experts and provided in bite-sized lessons, so you can learn when it’s convenient for you. With tips and tricks for getting the most out of SNAP Health Center, these walkthroughs are perfect for visual learners who would rather watch a video than read a manual. Our online video learning is accessed through our Customer Portal and included with your software subscription.

TRAINING AND CLINICAL INFORMATICS TEAM

Jennifer NortonMSN, RN, NCSN

Jennifer is a registered nurse with over 30 years of experience, beginning her healthcare career as an EMT. Her clinical background includes emergency department and trauma nursing, followed by more than 15 years as a school nurse serving rural, suburban, and urban communities. Jennifer is a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners (PA SNAP), the National Association of School Nurses (NASN), and the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA).

Bonnie MacAdamsMSN, BSN, RN, NCSN

Bonnie has been a dedicated registered nurse since 2012. With a robust background spanning various nursing roles, she has extensive experience in school nursing, medical/surgical care, home health, and camp nursing. Committed to maintaining the highest standards in nursing, she upholds her national certification in school nursing and works part-time as a Medical-Surgical-Orthopedic Nurse at her local hospital.

Kimberly GarrettMSN, RN, LSN, NCSN

Kim has been a nurse for over 25 years. She has served in a variety of healthcare roles including Trauma Center Nurse, Senior Quality Consultant, Clinical Research Coordinator, and most recently for 8 years as the Director of Health Services and School Nurse for a PK – 12 school system.

Victoria ParrisBSN, RN

Victoria has been a nurse for over 14 years with a wide range of clinical experience including early childhood, primary care, women’s health, acute care, and home health. As a nurse, she has worked with a variety of EHR platforms and was a pivotal member of several EHR conversions from one system to another. She continued to develop her EHR skills as a superuser which allowed her to further develop her informatics skills and knowledge.

Ryan McCloskeyBA

In one way or another, Ryan has been involved with education for over 20 years. He has trained health practitioners across the country to successfully use EHR software platforms, worked as a nursing practicum placement coordinator for an R1 university, and worked with disabled youth to increase their skill sets with a focus on entering the workforce.
