2026 School Nursing is my Superpower Nominee:
| Bethany Goldberg, Cumberland Schools (Preschool), Rhode Island |
I recommend nominating Ms.Bethany for this award because they serve as the vital link between health and academic success for our entire school community. Operating with a high degree of clinical independence, Ms.Bethany provides a level of care that goes far beyond the "ice packs and bandages" stereotype. From managing complex chronic conditions like Type 1 Diabetes and severe allergies with precision, to serving as a first responder during medical emergencies, they ensure that their students are safe and ready to learn. Perhaps most importantly, Ms.Bethany provides a unique "safe harbor" for students, often being the first to identify and support those struggling with mental health or social challenges. Their role as an educator, advocate, and clinician makes them an indispensable pillar of our school, and their dedication to student wellness is truly deserving of this recognition. I am the daughter of nurse Bethany and I see how hard she works, and how she is always carrying a smile on her face. Therefore, I believe Ms.Bethany should be selected for one of the packages, because it would show her that she is appreciated for everything she does.
