School Nurse Superpower Nominees

Nurse Anne demonstrates true nursing “superpowers” through her compassion, clinical skill, and dedication to every child she cares for. She creates a safe, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable, heard, and supported, even on their hardest days. Her ability to stay calm under pressure, think critically, and respond quickly to both routine and emergency situations reflects her strong clinical judgment and experience. Beyond direct care, she goes above and beyond by educating staff, supporting families, and promoting overall health and wellness within the school community. She has also been an incredible mentor, taking the time to guide and support me as a student nurse and helping me grow my interest and confidence in school nursing. As she prepares to retire this year, her impact is especially evident—she leaves behind not only healthier students, but also a stronger, more supported school community and future nurses she has inspired.
