2026 School Nursing is my Superpower Nominee:
| Maryanne Alessio, 31, New york |
My nominee has true nursing “superpowers” because she consistently goes above and beyond to care for others with both skill and heart. She has an incredible ability to remain calm under pressure, making quick, confident decisions that ensure her patients receive the best possible care. Her attention to detail and strong clinical knowledge allow her to catch things others might miss, often making a critical difference in outcomes. What truly sets her apart, though, is her compassion. She treats every patient with dignity, kindness, and empathy—making them feel seen, heard, and safe during some of their most vulnerable moments. She doesn’t just care for patients physically; she supports them emotionally and reassures their families as well. Her teamwork is another superpower. She is always willing to step in, help colleagues, and create a positive, supportive environment. She leads by example, inspiring those around her to be better every day. Simply put, her “superpowers” are her unwavering dedication, her ability to combine clinical excellence with genuine compassion, and her commitment to making a difference in every life she touches.
